Getting Closer!

So I only worked 3 hours today. Wendy coming to visit was a perfect excuse to leave work early! I called her before I left work to see where she was on the road...just to have a good idea of when to expect her. She was in Indie at 1pm!!! Wow! That's only a 4 hour drive from here depending on traffic. Which means she'll probably be here any minute now. How cool is that?! I'm so excited!!!

I love catching up with old friends! And I surely didn't expect to have this much time to get caught up. I figured she wouldn't be getting into town until around 7 or 8 this evening at the earliest. Sweet!!! We used to go get Chinese food together a lot when we lived in Cali, so I'm thinking I'll treat her to Jing Chuan for dinner if she's in the mood for Chinese. It is after all the best Chinese place in the area!

Not really any concrete plans for the night. Just lots of chatting & dinner. I'm sure she'll be tired from the long couple of days on the road so I don't think she'll be up for anything that takes lots of energy. After making 4 cross country drives myself, I understand how tiring a long day of driving can be so I'm good with just relaxing for the evening.

Good news is that my new boss is giving the morning off tomorrow too. I don't have to be to work until Noon! Which means breakfast before Wendy hits the road will likely be in the cards as well. (What can I say...eating always makes for great catching up plans.)
