Wish Me Luck

I have my doctors appointment today to see if I have hypoglycemia. Fingers are crossed that my symtoms have just been stress related, but it's doubtful consdering the symtoms & my family history for this sort of thing. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a long drawn out process. Eating is good...but I'd rather not have to eat all day.

Good luck, but it's ok.. Runs in my family too and it's not a huge deal.

Yep - hypoglycemia it is! Woo Hoo!!! The plus side is that I don't need to take the nasty blood glucose (sp?) test yet. If my diet changes don't control/ eliminate my symptoms I'll need to glucose test to look into exactly how low my blood sugar is & go from there. But I think diet changes will do the trick. Plus I get eat(either snack or a meal) every 2 hours - doctors orders - so I no longer have to feel like a cow every time I eat. Here's to controlling my diet with lots of protien!!!

ah yes, that's exactly what I had to do, and it worked...only if i weren't preggo. So hopefully after the baby is born I'll be a normal eater of healthier foods more times a day if needed. Good luck!

Hm, while I agree that hypoglycemia sucks, at least it's diet controlled right now. [Always a silver lining!] We have a lot of Type2 Diabetes in my family... Just say no to finger pricks and insulin shots!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! This is day 2 of eating about every 2 hours & thus far I'm feeling a lot better (already!!!) I'm amazed at how quickly I'm feeling like a normal person again...I guess eating all day will just have to be a habit I keep. & I get to eat lots of cheese!!! I love cheese.

Don't forget about the pics below... I'll post more soon...believe it or not, I still have a ton left to post from my trip!

well, glad to hear that there's a reason for feeling poopie all the time - and you have such a high metabolism that this eating every two hours thing won't even phase you in the waistline :) Cheese is gooooood! Happy snacking!
