A 3 Day Weekend?

For most of you, the Holiday 3 Day weekend most likely means 3 restful days of not working. Not so for me. I get to work this weekend! Woo Hoo! The good news is that it's 9am on Saturday and the weather looks like perfect! At least I get to be outside in it for the weekend, at least for a few hours anyways.

Yesterday I actually had enough staff on the boat to spend the entire day taking care of some much needed office stuff. And we had a meeting about how we're splitting up our programs now...I have a few big programs on my plate, along with half a dozen small programs. It'll be good experience ~ great to put on that resume. But I know I'll need a ton of help from the department since I've never done much programming. It'll be good though. For some reason, I've always tended to come out shining from Trial by Fire situations, so I have no plans of this being any different. Keep a positive attitude right?

We'll see if I can actually take some time off at some point over the weekend. If not, I'll be working 2 weeks without a day off...a sure fire way to get burnt out. I might only work half days if I can swing it.

Sorry most of my posts have been overly work related lately. There hasn't really time for much else lately: when I have time off, I tend to just relax & enjoy it. Once I get more in the new swing of things at work, I promise I'll have more non-work ramblings. And damn it ~ all of you other bloggers out there (Neil excluded) need to get off your butts & get some posts up already.

Enjoy the long "weekend" everyone!
