"Welcome to the 21st Century!"
Title courtesy of Randy's response to the reason I'm posting this.
I'd like to announce that I finally have a phone again!!! Woo Hoo!! I know, I know...what the hell took me so long?! But anywho, I know I once vowed to resist the temptation and never join the dark side of the cell phone world. But alas, I have done exactly that. I do spend a lot of time on the road between home & work...& a lot of time away from my apartment, so for the price & what the price gets me - it made sense.
So yes, I finally have a phone. I finally have a means of getting ahold of me that doesn't involve e-mail or IM...or just hunting down my apartment. I sent out a mass e-mail last night to most of the people in my address book and gave them the new number. If you didn't get that e-mail, it's probably because I don't have your address. So if you'd like my new number, post a comment with your e-mail (which I will promptly delete from my blog) & let me know.
I have to work today, so life won't be terribly exciting. Dinner with the family last night was good. Somehow Randy has managed to win my family over without even needing to try too hard. It's the first boyfriend I've had in quiet some time that they've liked without him having to prove he's likeable. It's amazing how much easier that makes life! :-)
More later. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Cell Phones aren't all that bad, you know. They are actually quite useful! We don't have a house phone, just our cells because it's just cheaper that way and easier when we're moving around all the time. What cell provider did you get? We have sprint, and talking to others with sprint is FREE. ok then, talk to ya later.
YAY! So I can finally reach you when I have uncontainable news like that day I drove the Corvette....you're the one person I knew that would want to hear about it and you were the only person I couldn't get a hold of. Hahaha. Oh well, great to have you back with us!
Actually, the quote was "welcome to the 20th century", cell phones being an invention of the 1980s. But close enough.
It must be because Randy is so incredibly charming. HAHAHA. :) j/k, Rand-o
Details, details Randy. And I had cell phone when I was in High School (although I was instructed to use it ONLY for emergencies)...and it was about 3 times the size of my new phone.
And I must admit, it does feel nice to have some form of communication that isn't linked to my computer.
And April, I went with T-Moble 'cause I get more minutes than with any other company...for an individual plan that is. And Shannon, next time you get to drive my dream car, you'd better call me darn it! ;)
Will do bubbaloo :)
