Belated Sunday Quote Blogging
"I mean what am I? I'm a middle-weight. I mean, I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I'm certainly not the dumbest. I mean, I've read books like Umbareable Lightness of Being and Love in the Time of Cholera. And I think I've understood them...their about girls right? ... Just kidding."
~ John Cusack, High Fidelity
A fitting quote for my Monday thus far considering I've just finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. And it's about damn time. I've been reading this one for freakin' ever!!! Phew! I finally made it through it! Great book, but obviously not the easiest for me to get through. And now that it's finished I can finally move on to authors that I know and love and am longing to sink back into. I'll read more Marquez some day I'm sure, but I need to pick up something that I can finish in a reasonable time frame right now and get me confidence back up there. Phew.
Still no news on the job I interviewed for last week, but they did say I'd hear either way "in the next couple of weeks." So at this point, no news isn't bad news yet.
Congrats to Shannon on the big news! I hope it's everything you've been dreaming of!
Today was my last free Yoga class. And it was a tough one. Not because we were doing extremely hard poses (although they were all pretty challenging for beginners), but more because my muscles were really tight today. That of course makes the whole stretching thing a bit more challenging. My body just didn't want to be as flexible as it felt like it was getting to be over the past couple of weeks of Yoga. Nothing that's a big deal, but something I'll have to keep working on. I'm planning on picking up a Yoga video so I can keep practicing here at home. (Maybe I'll be able to fit that into the agenda later this afternoon.)
