Blogging absence?

Yes, it's true...me - the long winded girl who posts far too often has been absent from posting in almost an entire week. But it has been kinda nice just to sit back, relax and not spend so much of my free time behind a computer screen. So thanks for being patient guys...(although some of you haven't had any updates in a few weeks...come on already!) :-)

So what has happened since my last post? Hmmm....let's see. Well work is still work. But on the plus side, I have been getting a little bit of training in the Mill which I should have been getting all season if things had gone as planned. But the good news is that I'm getting it now so that's all I'll say about that.

On the second job front, I do have a bit of news. I'll be meeting with a older women (80 yrs old) early this week to kinda get a feel for each other and decide if we can get along working together (rumor is that she's a little eccentric...could be fun, or could be just plain scary so we'll see). News of her needing help came out of the blue through the head of my department at work. She's a big donator to the organization & wants someone from out department to help her get things ready to move out of her house. I guess since I've been royally screwed over in the money & hours department, I was the first person to come to mind. So yeah I'm looking into it & it's looking like a great option. (But redemption is not that easy big boss man...keep trying.) If it ends us working out, it'll be a bit more of a drive than I was originally planning on, but only about 10 minutes or so...& the money is going to be better. The money may even be better than what I'm making in my "real" job. We'll see how it goes. But I have a feeling that I'm in without a problem.

Hmmm...what else? The good news is that I actually have the weekend off work for a change. The bad news is that Friday at work was crazy busy. I spent a third of day at work on the boat, the second third of it at a very boring training (& an hour on the road getting there & back), & the last part of the day giving an interview. Left work ASAP to met Randy at the museum, where we promtly got on the road toward Columbus. We managed to make it there without incident and arrived at our hotel full of sugar from the road munchies I'd bought for the trip. Checked into the hotel & walked about 2 minutes to dinner. Back to the room & crashed out for the night somewhere around 10:30 or 11ish.

I slept like poop Friday night, laying the groundwork for another long day. We were up around 8:30, got ready & headed out in the rain to buy pinches, then it was off to the Ohio State skull session pre-game festivities & football game following. Geez! Talk about a change of scene! A completely different league of craziness than I've ever been exposed to surrounding any sporting event...ever! It was insane!

We had a good time at the game. The rain managed to stop before the game started. We got sprinkled on a bit here & there, but good karma came through & stayed pretty dry. OSU won...by what seemed like a lot to me, but I'm no football fan, so don't take my word for it.

We left the horseshoe & managed to get ourselves surrounded by crazy drunken tailgate parties & fences that wouldn't let us get to where we could see we needed to be. Ugg. Too many people & too much stench of spilled beer & cigars for me. Craziness! Far too much craziness for me. I don't think I'll ever regret not going to a huge university like OSU. I guess I'm just too much of a small town girl 'cause the intimidation factor was in full force.

At last we managed to make it back to the car & get on our way. Ate an early dinner on way home in Delaware & then back to NW Ohio it was. I crashed out on the couch early...& managed to actually get a good 11 hours of sleep to make up for my short & restless sleep on Friday night.

Today it's off to spend the afternoon at Randy's dad's place for relaxation & food. I have all day tomorrow off too! Tuesday I technically only need will be working for about 3 hours, but it'll be a busy day with my meeting about the other job. Anywho, I'm off to chill out for a change.
