"Until you find something to fight for, you settle for something to fight against."
~ Chuck Palahniuk from his novel Choke

This is from the current book I'm reading. A much quicker & easier read than Love in the Time of Cholera. I really did enjoy that one, but let's be honest - it was a difficult read. Very long, small print to make each page turn slower, the language a whole different flow. It was tough. Very glad I stuck it out & made it through though!

Anyways, this new book - Choke - is great! I'm only about a third of the way through, and so far it's everything I'd expect from Palahniuk. (His other books I've read include Fight Club, Survivor, Diary, & Lullaby. I would recommend all of them if you can handle a writer like this. He's not for everyone. But he's got a way of shining light in all of your dark places.) Thank you to those of you contributed to my wealth of book store gift certificates this holiday season - you chipped in to buy me this book! It's awesome! And I expect nothing less of this author.

Hmmm...what else is been going on life? Well, nothing too exciting. Randy & I had a nice dinner with my folks earlier this week. Valentines Day was quiet but nice. Randy cooked me an awesome dinner & we shared a bottle of bubbly. :-) Work is overwhelmingly busy, but good. I have many large projects on my plate right now & feel like I don't have much chance of actually getting them done by their deadline (but the deadline were very unrealistically set considering the size of the projects & the amount & size of other tasks I have to complete, so I guess I'll get done what I can get done when I can get it done). Nothing too exciting in my life at the moment.
