Mid-Week Ramblings
This should be a short one since nothing too exciting has happened over the last 3 days or so.
Oh, wait - I take that back. I've some car woes that consumed most of my day yesterday. So I'm borrowing my Dad's car while mine gets some routine maintenience done. And yesterday on the drive to work it starts making all of these weird noises. About a minute later I smell burning belt. This can never be good right? Another minute goes by and I have no heat. Another minute or two goes by and I have no power steering. Another couple of minutes pass and the temp gauge & the battery gauge both light up. When all of this started I was over half way to work and didn't get much of a cell signal so I figured my best bet was to just keep going. Within 10 minutes I'm at work safely...although freezing my poor butt off. It's never a good thing when it's 13 degree's outside & you have no heat in your vehicle. I could see my breathe while driving...not good.
Anyways, it's all taken care of and fixed now. One of the belt bearings had seized up & shredded the fan belt. It made for an interesting day.
Today I got paid to go spend 4 hours at the Main Library Branch downtown! How cool is that? Getting paid to be at the library?! I'll take it! And I didn't even have any trouble getting there...no driving down one way streets the wrong direction even! And I found lots of good info for my research on a potential program I might be creating if the bosses that be deem it do-able.
Randy & I cooked up a yummy dinner tonight & I'm stuffed! We're watching the Wings loose at the moment. Still one period left in play...plenty of time to come back from 4 goals down. They can do it! Sorry for the lack of Sunday Quote Blogging this past weekend. Guess I just feel inspired. Maybe you'll get a double dosage next weekend! Games almost back from intermission so I'll go plop myself back down on the couch under my blanket.

I remember quite well the wonderful world of car woes. I'm glad to hear that everything is taken care of now.
